Skin Boosters are made from hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is natural sugary substance that is found in the skin. It has a role of attracting water and keeping the skin hydrated. As we age, the amount of HA in the skin decreases causing the skin to become drier and more prone to cracking and wrinkling.

Treatment involves numbing the skin with anaesthetic cream and then injecting small quantities of the skinbooster into the middle of the skin with a very fine needle or cannula. The skin booster is made from the same product as other dermal fillers (HA) but the particles are much smaller. Other dermal fillers replace lost volume but skin boosters, with their smaller particles, cause increase hydration and collagen and minimal increase in volume.

Some subtle effects are seen immediately, but their full effect takes 4-6 weeks as they slowly improve skin quality and hydration.
